About the Experience

Jodhpur one of the most flourished and hallmark city of the Marwar Kingdom was renowned for being the centrehold of the trade route between Delhi and Gujarat. The “blue city” is guarded by the mighty Mehrangarh fort which imposes its presence like anything never has. The fort served as the initial King Palace and now is the museum to the cultural and architectural styles of the prosperous princely era. Here the film shooting of the very famed “The Dark Knight Rises” took place.

Jodhpur is surrounded by Bishnoi villages which can be visited by taking jeep rides. Bishnoism was founded by Guru Jambheshwar in Bikaner and he adopted a set of 29 tenets. The name Bishnoi is derived from "Vishnu" and the spiritual name of Guru Jambheshwar is Jambhaji. Of his 29 tenets, ten are directed towards personal hygiene and maintaining good basic health, seven for healthy social behavior, and four tenets to the worship of God while the remaining eight tenets have been prescribed to preserve bio-diversity and encourage good animal husbandry.
