Welcome to Mahabalipuram

Mahabalipuram, is a town on a strip of land between the Bay of Bengal and the Great Salt Lake and It’s known for its world heritage temples and monuments built by the Pallava dynasty in the late 7th and 8th centuries. The seafront Shore Temple comprising 3 ornate granite shrines is one of the biggest tourist spots. In addition to ancient world heritage sites, city is high on coastal life with the traveller’s hub at Othavadai and Othavada, where restaurants serve delicacies like pasta, pizza and shops sell Tibetan trinkets. The town's growing surf scene is another attraction.
